Why I chose this and statistics:
I chose this topic for multiply reasons. Not only was I once afraid of just being me in school, but I know tons of others were/ or still are worried about being an outcast. Also, I want kids that come into the high school to be able to join band and not have to worry that people behind the scenes are judging them- that there is no cookie cutter image of how you have to be in high school; that you are aloud to be different but still fit in. It is a fact that 75% of high school kids join or don't join things because of peer pressure or the fear of being labeled an outcast. Another fact is that 64.3% of graduates regret not joinging or doing the things they want to because they were worried about being judge. One last fact is that out of all my friends, we are all in different clubs and activities but yet none of us are looked at as an outcast or as a loser.. we learned how to cope and you will too. but, mainly I chose this topic to be able to back up something I went through. SO JUST BE YOU!

Ten Things I Am Thankful For

1.) of course i am thankful for my parents. they are always here for me and they love m eso much and they are the people i need most in the world

2.) i am thankful for my brother and his girlfriend because even though they are the most annoying couple in the world, they are always there when i need a ride or, especially nicole, when i need to figure out something to do in the teen age area. nicole has become one of my go to people and darren is just the intimidating older brother that gives me advice

3.) im thankful that my grandfather is still going. i had to use a picture from the beginning of the year because he lost too much weight and he isnt doing good, but i wanted to show i was thankful for him. he has grown ever so close to me and im thankful that he still has life coursing through him even as dementia is trying to annihilate it. 

4.) i'm thankful for jaime because who else in the world would lay on the couch with me on friday nights and complain about how confusing guys are or who else will laugh when i try burping out my name. she is literally my one of my best friends along with other people on this list and i love her so much.  

5.) of course julie has to end up on this list... i mean she is literally like my adopted sister.. i honestly dont think i could live with out her. she knows everything about me and i need her just as much as she needs me, especially it seems at 2 oclock in the morning half the time. she literally is my best friend and i love her.

 6.) im thankful for the food that is in my pantry. without food, i would not e able to survive and i would most likely starve to death.

 7.) I am thankful for my house, because with out it i would be living in a box on the street somewhere which would not be a good thing. plus its my escape when reality becomes over whelming.

8.) i am thankful for my three dogs because in the times when i feel like nothing is going right they always add happiness to my life and make me smile even through the tears. they dont harm anyone and they are lttle whit fluffy balls :)

 9.) another thing i thankful for is just life. without life, i would not be able to write and take pictures of my everything i am thankful for, so i came to the conclusion that it needed to be mentioned here.

"Magazine Cover Comparison"

Above are two  magazine covers that I liked that are from two different time periods (bottom from 1930s, and to from 2012.) As you can see, the magazine covers are highly different in some retrospects and similar in others. The first major difference that my eye sees is the types of fonts and how they are used in the picture. In the top picture, fonts and text are used all over the places; whereas in the second one there is one line of text, which is the title. The next difference is what the magazine is actually out there for. the bottom image as you can see is for the vanity fair, and the top image is for food. they are just two differences i see right from the bat.
